NFC for IoT?
BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) is main networking technology in IoT platforms and Low-power WiFi and Zigbee are following BLE. But Broadcom add NFC to their IoT platform, WICED. So NFC is one of the IoT enabled network solution.
By integrating NFC, Broadcom enables developers to create more complex products with a wider variety of use cases. For example, by tapping their smartphone to a smart thermostat, a user is instantly recognized and the house is automatically set to their preferred temperature.
